NESDA NESDA's mission is to help independent servicers to be successful through today's challenging times. NESDA serves as both the parent group, under which other divisions are formed, and as the division which represents computer and consumer electronics service dealers. Currently, the other division under the NESDA umbrella is the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET). ISCET represents the interests of professional technicians in all fields. Collectively, NESDA and ISCET represent thousands of electronics professionals, primarily in the United States but also throughout the world.
Comptia CompTIA is the leading association representing the international technology community. Its goal is to provide a unified voice, global advocacy and leadership, and to advance industry growth through standards, professional competence, education and business solutions. In order to most efficiently serve the industry and its members, CompTIA has developed specialized initiatives and programs dedicated to major areas within the IT industry. They include, convergence technology, e-commerce, IT training, software services, certification, public policy and workforce development.
APRO The Association of Progressive Rental Organizations is the international voice for the rent-to-own industry founded in 1980. APRO is the nonprofit trade association advocating and representing the rent-to-own industry before the U.S. Congress, Internal Revenue Service, state legislatures, the courts, media and the public. The association offers a wide range of services and resources for both RTO dealers and vendors, including education programs, annual meetings, seminars and a buying show, networking, award-winning publications and much more. APRO is staff-driven, member-based, with oversight by a board of directors.
csc The mission of the Certified Service Center program is to encourage professionalism within the service industry and to publicly identify those service facilities that strive to provide honest, competent and professional service. The program is designed to provide positive service experiences to all consumers. The Certified Service Center designation is presented to those service facilities that provide a level of service professionalism that meets or exceeds the high levels established by the requirements of this certification.
ncee NCEE is not a 'splash in the pan' group. Each technician competency area demands currency with the latest in technology. Thus, each area requires Subject Matter Experts as committee members reviewing and updating the industry approved educational and certification guidelines at least once each year.
